  1. About ChemPort Reference Linking

The ChemPort Reference Linking Service provides scientists and information professionals with the full bibliographic information and abstracts for citations found in electronic full-text articles. With ChemPort Reference Linking, you can link from a citation within an e-journal to view its title, authors, source, and abstract. You can also purchase additional information indexed by CAS® scientists.

The ChemPort Reference Linking Service is provided free of charge through a collaboration of scientific journal publishers: Chemical Abstracts Service®, FIZ-Karlsruhe, and the Japan Association for International Chemical Information (JAICI).

  2. How does ChemPort Reference Linking work?

At participating publisher web sites, [ChemPort] links appear with citations that are available through ChemPort Reference Linking. Click the [ChemPort] link to view the bibliographic information and abstract for a citation of interest.

  3. Participating Publishers

The ChemPort Reference Linking Service is available via electronic journal articles of many participating scientific publishers. The initial service includes ACS Publications, Springer-Verlag, American Institute of Physics, Academic Press/IDEAL, The Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Physics, International Union of Crystallography, and selected publishers from CatchWord.

  4. Explore with SciFinder ®

If you have a SciFinder account, you can continue your scientific research by clicking the link for SciFinder Customers found in the left-hand frame. SciFinder is launched, and you can easily explore for more information related to the article of interest.
