CAS Full Text Options In-house Link OpenURL Format Description
This information applies only to those who have chosen the OpenURL format
for the CAS Full Text Options In-house Link. CAS Full Text Options is compliant with OpenURL 1.0 (SAP1).
The following parameters are provided by CAS Full Text Options:
- Service Identifier (SID):
The Service Identifier (SID) will contain one of the following
depending on how CAS Full Text Options is being used. The values consist of the
vendor and database originating the link. For CAS, the SID values will
be one of the following:
- CAS:<file name>
- STN:<file name>

- CAS:<CHEMPORT>
- STN:<CHEMPORT>
|
- Standard OpenURL 1.0 (SAP1) Parameters:
CAS Full Text Options has been enhanced to support the OpenURL Framework for Context-Sensitive
Services, San Antonio Level 1 Community Profile (SAP1). If you select the "Use OpenURL Format" option for In-House
Linking, the In-House links are now compliant with SAP1.

- Private Identifier (PID):
The Private Identifier (PID) field will also be present. The purpose
of this field is to provide a location for any non-standard data, that
is, data that does not conform to the OpenURL 1.0 (SAP1). The
following parameters can be provided in the PID by CAS Full Text Options:
- authfull (first author's full name)
- repnum (report number)

- source (document source)
- corpsrc (corporate source)
